- Reach for the Sky! at Future Tech
Now!
October 1-2, Anaheim, CA
Melissa Burt helped present Reach for the Sky! with Nisse Lee of the Little
Shop of Physics at
SACNAS' Future Tech Now!,
hands-on demonstrations of new technology and research for a healthier
planet. Reach for the Sky! was about the climate system and how climate
models work. Students participated in hands-on activities demonstrating the
processes behind clouds, hurricanes and other weather phenomena. Participants
engaged in activities simulating how cities affect clouds, learned concepts of
atmospheric energy transfer and interacted with climate models.
