CMMAP was represented at this science and technology event for students at
Northern Virginia Community College. Students had the opportunity to listen
to and learn from professionals in their field of study. Our STC colleagues
at NSF were also present.

- Colorado Global Climate Conference
Monday October 17, 2011
Lory Student Center, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado
The goal of the conference was to to educate students on global and local
climate issues and to empower them to use their knowledge. Subjects addressed
included Climate Science, Mitigation/Adaptation, Opportunities,
Local/National/International Impacts and Strategies, and Alternative Energy.

- CMMAP and LSOP at HESTEC
CMMAP and Little Shop of Physics had the opportunity to be part of HESTEC - a
week long event in Southern Texas. On Monday, LSOP hosted over 100 teachers in
a hands-on workshop. Tuesday through Friday we shared science with about 4,000
students and then opened the doors to the public on Saturday for an afternoon
of science fun! CMMAP Science and Diversity team members were there to
advertise our Internship program and other efforts.

- CMMAP August Team Meeting
We began our 6th year as a Science and Technology Center with our 11th semi-
annual Team Meeting held August 9-11 in Fort Collins.

- Talking Environmental Science
This was an invited workshop in helping academic researchers communicate
their research to the public, policy
makers and other nonscientists held May 9-11 at Colorado State University.
- Little Shop of Physics Open House
Saturday February 26 was the date of the 20th Little Shop of Physics Open
House. It was a great event/celebration held at Colorado State University
with an estimated 7000 attendees.
- January 2011 Team Meeting
Our final full team meeting of our first five years as a Science and
Technology Center was held January 11-13 in Berkeley, CA. Presentations and
more goodies from the meeting
