Clouds, Climate, and Weather MSP
2008 Summer Camp Final Project

Students will get into groups of three to five students to write, produce and perform a 3 to 5 minute skit that represents their understanding and knowledge of their topic. Each group needs to research their topic using the Internet and write a script for their skit that reflects their understanding of the topic.

We encourage students to use props, humor, and anything else that will help the audience understand their topic. Students should be creative, have fun and express themselves. Our management requires that all skits be rated PG. A DVD of the skits and week in camp will be provided to each student on Friday to take home.

Topics to Choose From:

  • Greenhouse Effect
  • Past Climates
  • Climate Change
  • Weather vs. Climate
  • Winds (density and temperature of air masses)
  • Energy conservation
  • Moisture/Clouds
  • Heat energy transfer processes in the atmosphere: conduction, convection and radiation
  • Hydrologic Cycle
  • Coriolis Effect
  • Fronts/storms/precipitation
  • Seasons/pressure
