| Goals: Projects under this KT Theme support the broader KT Goals of enabling
improved climate models and improved weather forecasts |
| Objectives: Supports KT Objectives 1 and 2. 1., To provide to climate modeling
centers improved tools for the simulation of global cloudiness, as well as
innovative tools for the analysis of such simulations. 2., To provide improved
cloud parameterizations to numerical weather prediction centers. |
| Summary: An outcome of previous CMMAP Team Meetings was to involve CMMAP students in
operational NWP and climate prediction centers. |
| Activities and outcomes during past year: To help facilitate this knowledge transfer, a 'Student
Opportunities' section of the CMMAP web site has been created to post
opportunities at the student level at affiliated centers. |
| Plans for the upcoming year: This project is ongoing and new opportunities will be added to the site as
they become available. |
