2009 CMMAP Summer Undergraduate Internships:
Clouds, Climate,
and Modeling
Planning is underway for our summer 2009 internship program. A successful
candidate should
- have completed at least one year of college
- have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- have an interest in learning about climate and weather
- be considering a career in atmospheric science or related field
- be a U.S. citizen
CMMAP strongly encourages applications from students of groups that are
historically under-represented in the sciences, including Black or
African-American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic or Latino, female,
and students with disabilities.
Possible research areas:
- Climate modeling
- Cloud processes
- Atmospheric chemistry
- Tropical meteorology
- Transport modeling
- Biogeochemical cycles
- Climate variability
- Hurricanes
- Climate policy

July 31, 2009

Location: Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO
Stipend: $4500
Housing and Food: included in the
internship
Transportation: CMMAP will cover the airfare to/from CSU
