2009 CMMAP Summer Undergraduate Internships:
Clouds, Climate, and Modeling

Planning is underway for our summer 2009 internship program. A successful candidate should
  • have completed at least one year of college
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • have an interest in learning about climate and weather
  • be considering a career in atmospheric science or related field
  • be a U.S. citizen
CMMAP strongly encourages applications from students of groups that are historically under-represented in the sciences, including Black or African-American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic or Latino, female, and students with disabilities.

Possible research areas:

  • Climate modeling
  • Cloud processes
  • Atmospheric chemistry
  • Tropical meteorology
  • Transport modeling
  • Biogeochemical cycles
  • Climate variability
  • Hurricanes
  • Climate policy

Dates of internship: May 26 through July 31, 2009

Deadline to Apply: March 2, 2009

Location: Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO

Stipend: $4500

Housing and Food: included in the internship

Transportation: CMMAP will cover the airfare to/from CSU
